Ocean Skiff 27 Review center console boat reviews
When Mark Hauptner built his first center console back in 1974, he set the industry on its ear with a 31’ model – then the largest of its kind. His latest model, the Ocean Skiff 27, is likely to generate a similar amount of interest because of how it is made.

Designed and built strictly for offshore anglers, it is, in a word, overbuilt. This model was designed to fill the need of anglers who don’t want to compromise between a bay boat and offshore model. In order to be simple and easy to own and operate as possible, as well as affordable to operate and insure, the Ocean Skiff is designed to be powered by a single outboard. With a draft of a mere 15”, it handles skinny waters well, while a solid 3,500 lb. weight provides a steady platform offshore.
